Pickleball Courts at Crosslake Community Center
Adult Intermediate/Advanced Pickleball
Pickleball play for intermediate and advanced players is offered Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 1:30-3:30 pm and Friday mornings 9:30 to 11:30 am. Annual memberships are $35.00; Day passes are $4.00.
Beginner/Recreational Pickleball Player League
League for Beginners/Recreational players will be held Monday’s from 1:30-3:30 pm and Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 4:00-6:00. Annual Membership fee is $35.00/Day Pass is $4.00. Come and try America’s fastest growing sport!
Equipment Rental
The Parks and Recreation office has the following recreation equipment available for rental: Bocce Ball, Shuffleboard, Pickleball, Disc Golf, Tennis Rackets, GPS Units and Snowshoes. Equipment, (with the exception of Pickleball and GPS Units), can be rented for two hour time periods. Payment and a current drivers license are required at check-out time. Sorry, cash or check only. Pickleball Courts at Portage Park
Portage Park has 7 pickleball courts in the hockey rink at the park. The surface is blacktop. Portable nets, balls, and paddles are kept in the warming house next to the rink. Summer hours begin June 4th: Tues, Thurs, and Sat from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Pickleball Courts at Cohasset Community Center
Cohasset Community Center has three indoor pickleball courts with portable nets. The facility is open to the public most of the week. Unfortunately, pickleball play depends on the availability of the court. Setting up a reservation for Saturday play is highly advised.
Grand Rapids Pickleball Club:
This is our only inside the venue. It is used in late fall to early spring. We are able to tape 3 courts in their multi-purpose room. The surface is tile. The schedule will be posted when in use. Pickleball Courts at Lions Park
Open Outdoor Pickleball (Chaska Lion’s Park- 1300 Crosstown Blvd.)
Six new pickleball outdoor courts are located at Chaska Lion’s Park (1300 Crosstown Blvd.) behind the softball fields and next to the sand volleyball courts. These courts are now multipurpose and can be used for tennis or Pickleball. Pickleball hours have been posted on the fence so that tennis players will know when these can be used for Pickleball.

The format of play is designed so that players play mostly with others of similar skill levels. Your ranking on a ladder is based upon your winning percentage. Players will move up or down the ladder based upon their winning percentage.

PICKLEBALL-HALLOWEEN STYLE
Dress to impress! Wear a Halloween costume and play with other Pickleball enthusiasts. After the games, join in The Lodge for the Mad Hatter Party.

Pickleball Courts at Hyland Hills Tennis Court
Hyland Hills’ original two tennis courts have been lined for pickleball. As of now, only few pickleball players use the facility. It’s open to the public but reservations might be needed for pickleball play since the courts are used primarily for tennis.
Pickleball Courts at Algoma Park
The pickleball courts at Algoma Park are now open to the public and ready for use. The parks and recreation department will host outdoor open pickleball from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the park, 3502 Minnesota Ave. Cost, for the equipment, is $2 per session or $25 for the season. The public is welcome to use the pickleball courts free of charge during regular park hours. If anyone is interested in setting up a pickleball league, contact the Parks and Recreation Department, (218) 333-1850.
Pickleball Courts at Apple Valley Community Center
Outdoor courts at Apple Valley Community Center are open to the public and free to use. As for the indoor courts, there’s a drop-in fee of $4 per person and session.
Apple Valley Community Center Adult Open Gym will also hold pickleball clinics and competitive matches for ages 18 and over starting this October 2018 thru May 2019 in the Adult Open Gym. Participants are required to fill out a Participant Registration card, show an ID, and pay the admission fee prior to participation. These activities are for adults and children are not to be in the gym. No food or beverages allowed in the gym (except water). Up-to-Ten Admission punch cards are available for purchase (2018 rates are $35 for Residents and $40 for Non-Residents). Indoor pickleball facilities can be rented.
