Pickleball Courts at Frank Hall Park
Frank Hall Park in Albert Lea City has six outdoor pickleball courts and can accommodate up to 30 players. In 2014, three tennis courts have been converted to six pickleball courts with permanent nets. Pickleball play is for free and available starting at 8 A.M every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 5 P.M every Tuesday and Thursday. The park has also reserved a 5 P.M timeslot for women’s and couples every Monday. Lights are available from 7:00 P.M to 10:30 P.M.
Frank Hall Park has already hosted a number of pickleball tournaments, including the 2018 Summer Sizzler pickleball tourney last August.
Pickleball Courts at Lakes Area Recreation
Lakes Area Recreation has four indoor and six outdoor pickleball courts. The courts can accommodate an average of 15 players. Pickleball play outside Discovery Middle School is daily from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M, while play inside the Open Gym is on a stricter schedule. Play starts from 6:30 A.M to 9:00 P.M on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 1:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M on Saturday and Sunday.
Pickleball Courts at Apple Valley Community Center
Outdoor courts at Apple Valley Community Center are open to the public and free to use. As for the indoor courts, there’s a drop-in fee of $4 per person and session.
Apple Valley Community Center Adult Open Gym will also hold pickleball clinics and competitive matches for ages 18 and over starting this October 2018 thru May 2019 in the Adult Open Gym. Participants are required to fill out a Participant Registration card, show an ID, and pay the admission fee prior to participation. These activities are for adults and children are not to be in the gym. No food or beverages allowed in the gym (except water). Up-to-Ten Admission punch cards are available for purchase (2018 rates are $35 for Residents and $40 for Non-Residents). Indoor pickleball facilities can be rented. The Rec Center is closed on New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. There are modified hours on other holidays. Call the Rec Center at 952-227-1400 for specific information.

Open Outdoor Pickleball (Chaska Lion’s Park- 1300 Crosstown Blvd.)
Six new pickleball outdoor courts are located at Chaska Lion’s Park (1300 Crosstown Blvd.) behind the softball fields and next to the sand volleyball courts. These courts are now multipurpose and can be used for tennis or Pickleball. Pickleball hours have been posted on the fence so that tennis players will know when these can be used for Pickleball.

Schuster Park is home to tennis courts (painted for pickleball), a playground, and a shelter.
